Description

Located a short walk from the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge is Dorset House, one of Bristol’s landmark properties overlooking Christchurch Green. Once home to Samuel Synge Hutchinson, bart, one of the Bristol Merchants, this delightful Grade II listed house was built in 1829-30 by RS Pope.

Formerly known as 8 & 9 Litfield place, and then as Alva and Dorset House, it is now the home of the Royal Marine Reserve, Bristol. Although an operational establishment, this is an extremely well appointed and distinguished location which could host a suitably prestigious event. This venue has the ability to host lectures, conferences, formal dinners/ luncheons, or smaller meetings.

Bristol City Centre is just 1.9 miles to the south. The upmarket Clifton Village is close by, with easy access to local amenities, restaurants and boutique shops. Bristol Temple Meads railway station is 2.3 miles distant, and there is good access to the M4, M5 and M32. Bristol Airport (Lulsgate Bottom) is some 5 miles to the south. This venue benefits from on-site, secure parking for up to 20 cars.
