With a polished wooden floor, this spacious hall (16.5m x 14m) can be used for a variety of activities, such as exhibition, lectures, conferences and dinner dances. The hall can comfortably seat 120 around circular tables, and with drapes creating a marquee style interior, a special ambience can be created
A versatile room which can be divided to provide a games room/ children’s area (7.5m x 6.5m) and a main function room (10.5m x 7.25m) with bar. The two rooms could be used as a disco/ dance area and a buffet/ seating area for a special party. There is tables and seating for 30, with comfortable chairs available. The walls can be curtained to provide a marquee style effect.
A large, stylish lounge bar (11m x 7.5m) which is suitable for hosting a group of up to 50 people for a private function or a special event.
The kitchen is adjacent to the Hall (7.25m x 4m) can easily cope with large events. It is fully fitted with a six ring burner, hotplate, deep fat fryer, microwave, grill and ovens, fridge and freezer
This is an elegant and comfortable room which can be used for a variety of uses, from hosting a conference, making presentations, holding a formal dinner, or an informal party/ gathering. The room (9.2m x 8.4m) has views to the front, overlooking the Common. It can seat 16 around the main dining table, or up to 35 in a more social setting such as a cocktail party. For more informal events it can seat two smaller tables of 5 people each. It has a bar and a small adjoining kitchen.
There is short term parking available for use while hiring the facilities.
Description
Located between Bristol City Centre and Filton, and just off the A38 (Gloucester Road), is the Army Reserve Centre, fronting onto Horfield Common and adjacent to the Leisure Centre.
Although the Anglo-Saxon name ‘Horfield’ means filthy open land, this area now houses some of the finest amenities in north Bristol. This is an ideal location to host conferences, exhibitions, meetings, lectures and tutorials. It can cater for functions both large and small, and a variety of formal and informal events. The downstairs rooms have disabled access and facilities. Bristol City Centre is 2.5 miles south, while Filton /Abbey Wood is 1.3miles to the north. The area is well served by public transport, and easily accessible to the M4, M5 and M32. Bristol Temple Meads railway station is 2.3 miles distant. This venue benefits from on-site, secure parking for up to 20 cars. |
