Description

At the eastern edge of the delightful Market Town of Devizes is the modern and attractive Joint Headquarters of the Wiltshire Army Cadet Force and the Western Region Headquarters of the Air Cadet Organisation. This new, purpose built facility was opened by General Sir Michael Walker when he was Chief of the Defence Staff in November 2003. Cleverly concealed within a spiral of narrow, pedestrian friendly streets inside a housing estate, Le Marchant Barracks is a secure and discrete facility which can cater for a variety of needs. Devizes Town Centre is a 5 minute drive away past the Wiltshire Police Headquarters. The nearest railway station is in Pewsey, some 15 miles distant. There is no easy access to the M4 or A303. Heathrow Airport is some 85 miles to the east. This venue benefits from on-site, secure parking for up to 10 cars.
