Description
Once part of the Great Western Railway works, this Army Reserve Centre was created in 1961. The main railway line from London to Bristol runs along the back of the vehicle garages, so there is a constant and distinctive reminder of the connection throughout the day. On the other side of the building is a rather more peaceful municipal Park. The M4 motorway (J16) is a short drive away, and the town centre is about half a mile to the east and, of course, the railway station is 400m along the street. Swindon Army Reserve Centre is a convenient meeting and conference venue, with a conference room, classrooms, bar and kitchen facilities. This venue benefits from on-site, secure parking for up to 20 cars |
